The Genesis of Finding Home

The idea for Finding Home began to brew in my mind several years ago during a writing workshop about water. I imagined a character arriving in a new place, hoping to find something precious, only to uncover dark secrets instead.

This kernel of an idea morphed into the character of Abbie, a young woman on a perilous quest to locate her estranged mother. When she steps into the nearly deserted fishing town of Cedarthorpe, readers feel the tension right from the start. The town’s eerie silence hints at mysteries waiting to be discovered.

The Heart of the Story

In Finding Home, Abbie's journey quickly spirals into a nightmare when she learns that the previous occupant of her room, Sasha, has mysteriously vanished. The stakes rise as Abbie finds herself wrapped up in a chilling world filled with modern slavery and corruption.

Through Abbie’s perspective, we feel the weight of her challenging past as she strives to shape her future. Her determination to rescue Sasha compels her to confront not just the town's dangers, but her own vulnerabilities.
